To recover the unpaid dues of electricity bills the government of Maharashtra will give waiver of interest rate and late fees under the Shri Vilasrao Deshmukh Abhay Yojana. People who lost connection permanently before December 31st. The government of Maharashtra will provide a 100% waiver of late fees and interest on unpaid electricity bills under this yojana. People who have tension connections to electricity will get a 5% additional discount under this yojana. People of Maharashtra can deposit just 30% of the principal amount initially and the rest amount can be paid as in 6 monthly instalments.
